Daily Delights

Potholes + Chickens

1. Talon’s thin back swaying side to side on his used and squeaky bike, its red spray paint speckling the white tire, as he pumps hard on the heart-shaped pedals aiming for each pothole with a “woo-hoo!”

2. Watching from the kitchen window as my son feeds his pet chickens one grass stem, chatting away as if the birds are old friends.

3. My baby’s palm on my face, pat-pat-patting goodbye, then her reach for her Mimi, making my heart squeeze in relief that my children get to be friends with my parents.

“Daily Delights” are one-sentence snapshots about exploring outside with kiddos. It’s like writing in your diary — quick, gritty, hand-written, and heartfelt — to help capture memories and inspire gratitude.

P.S. Embrace their poetry, since gratitude trumps grammar 😉
